From one of our more innovative Scorpion 3D Stinger Partners nLink. The company is located in Sogndal, Norway. The guys behind the company are Håvard Halvorsen and Tomas Hennige with master degrees from the NTNU, the technical university in Trondheim. Their intent is to make a change in the extremely hard task of drilling in concrete ceilings for the construction industry. They are really serious in their intent backed with an Industrial R&D contract of 0.625 MEUR with Vintervoll AS and Innovation Norway.

We are happy to see that nLink has chosen our Scorpion 3D Stinger framework for tracking the laser line in 3D to help the Universal Robot place the drill at the exact drilling position.
Scorpion 3D Stinger™ for Robot Vision is designed to solve manufacturers’ classic challenge:
Picking parts from a conveyor belt, a pallet or a crate. Scorpion 3D Stinger™ captures images, identifies and locates the product and sends the id and 3D location to a robot.
Universal Robots Let’s face it — most robots are big, expensive, and clunky. At Universal Robots we have developed a highly-specialized, low-cost robotic arm to streamline your production process. Like an extra colleague, the robot can work right alongside employees with no safety guarding. The user-friendly software is a cinch to learn and installation can be done in under an hour.
Innovation Norway is the Norwegian Government’s most important instrument for innovation and development of Norwegian enterprises and industry. They support companies in developing their competitive advantage and to enhance innovation.
