The 3D Venom camera can be used for

  • Identification and presence verification
  • 3D shape verification
  • Surface texture verification and 3D measurements
  • Empty box detection
  • 3D Box location

The camera in question is the 2.3 MPixel 3D Venom camera with a white LED strobe to create the 3D model. Working distance 488 mm – baseline 33.0 mm –> depth resolution estimated to 0.5 to 1 mm.

The 3D Venom camera uses a single camera to capture two images with disparity. The system works with a 12 bit dynamic range. The 3D FOV is approximately 300 x 300 mm with a depth resolution of 50 mm. The 3D Venom camera targets Industrial Automation – multiple camera can work together to make 360 degrees 3D models while the objects are moving.
