Scorpion Stinger 3D Calibration Objects

The Scorpion 3D Stinger Calibration objects are created to help for automate accurate 3D machine vision calibration. The objects are design to support the unique “One-Push Calibration” concept where only one image is needed to recalibrate a machine vision system with the click of a button. The image below shows a saw-tooth object for calibration of 3D Laser Calibration object. The datasheet defines feature numbering, the object reference system and the coordinates of all the features points. The objects are well suited for 3D Calibration for Laser Triangulation, 3D Measurement systems and 3D Robot Vision.

The Scorpion Stinger calibration object is supported by sample profiles in the Scorpion Vision Software Installer. It shows  best practices for 3D Calibration – both manual calibration and automatic calibration.
Methods for automatic validation of calibration results are also provided.
